Meet the CEO and Our Chief Taste Testers!

Hey, I’m Nic, the Irish dog obsessed, snack slinging dog mum and proud owner of Hell Hound Treats. What started as a dream to combine my love for dogs with their snack addiction has grown into something I never imagined. And it’s all thanks to Floki & Vala, my wild hearted co-founders (yep, they’re the inspiration behind the name Hell Hound Treats)

So why start a treat business?

I was tired of the same old dog treats flooding the market, (think liver, hearts, ears, and tails) and I kept thinking, what about the spleens, brains, fur, and other parts humans usually discard? So that’s where Hell Hound Treats steps in. We’re all about using as much of the animal as possible, reducing waste, and creating nutrient packed, sustainable dog snacks that your hell hound will love.

meet my hell hounds

Let me introduce you to the two badass dogs who inspired this dream of mine.

Vala is my soul dog and best friend. She was my first dog as an adult and came from a working farm down in Victoria. She sparked my interest in the dog sport world and now we enjoy sheep herding and dock diving together. She has a typical sassy Kelpie attitude and keeps me on my toes, but she’s also my ultimate partner in crime and I couldn’t ask for a better teammate.

And my sweet baby boy, Floki! The perfect balance of cuddly and energetic, especially for a cattle dog! I adopted him when he was just 14 weeks old and from that moment, he’s been bringing endless fun and fire into my life. Floki has a way of turning every day into an adventure. We’ve found our rhythm in scent work and man trailing and in the process he’s taught me so much about patience and focus making him the best companion I could ever ask for.

And of course, every treat gets put to the test by these two, because if they don't approve, it doesn't make the cut.

where do your treats come from?

Our treats are proudly sourced from trusted Australian suppliers. But our ultimate goal is to one day dehydrate treats in-house, ensuring you get the freshest, most delicious dog snacks straight from our licensed facility to your dog’s bowl.

Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us, it’s at the heart of everything we do. We’re committed to reducing waste, minimizing our environmental impact and making conscious choices in every step of our process. From sourcing high quality proteins to using eco-friendly packaging, we strive to ensure that our treats are not only good for your dog but also good for the planet. By repurposing by-products that would otherwise go to waste, we're doing our part to promote a more sustainable future for both pets and the environment.
