Most of Australia’s goat meat comes from farmed goats, with a growing number of producers focused on sustainable, low-stress farming practices. These goats are typically pasture-raised, free to roam and managed with animal welfare in mind. While Australia also exports a significant amount of goat meat, much of the carcass that doesn’t suit the human supply chain goes unused.
We work to change that by repurposing the undervalued parts, the organs, connective tissues and tougher cuts into nutrient-rich, biologically appropriate treats. Goat is naturally lean, making it a good choice for dogs on low-fat diets and the variety of cuts we use helps support everything from muscle development to joint health.
By using the whole animal and prioritising traceable sourcing, we help reduce waste and create treats that are both functional and respectful to the animal.
Goat is a lean red meat that offers dogs a rich source of iron, B vitamins and high-quality protein. It’s often underused in both human and pet food supply chains, which means a lot of the animal gets wasted. At Hell Hound Treats, we turn parts like horn butts, ears, kidneys, heart, tripe and tails into functional, flavourful snacks.
